A light heavyweight contest pitting Ovince St. Preux against Ilir Latifi has been rebooked for UFC on Fox 28.
The Orlando Sentinel first reported the pairing on Wednesday. St. Preux and Latifi were originally supposed to meet at UFC on Fox 27 in Charlotte, N.C., on Jan. 27, but the bout had to be rescheduled due to a Latifi injury. St. Preux had initially offered to fight at heavyweight in order to remain on the UFC on Fox 27 card.
UFC on Fox 28 takes place at the Amway Center in Orlando on Feb. 24 and will feature a pivotal strawweight battle between Tecia Torres and Jessica Andrade. The Sentinel also reported that a bantamweight contest between Rani Yahya and Russell Doane has been confirmed for the card. A headliner has not been announced.
St. Preux has been victorious in his last three Octagon appearances, including a third-round knockout of Corey Anderson at UFC 217 this past November. Latifi, meanwhile, has won four of his last five outings with the Las Vegas-based promotion, most recently besting Tyson Pedro via unanimous decision at UFC 215.
