Ovince St. Preux will look to bounce back from his main event loss to Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night Bangor when he takes on Rafael Cavalcante on Nov. 8 in Uberlandia, Brazil.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the light heavyweight pairing on Wednesday. As of now, the fight becomes the first bout confirmed for the UFC Fight Night card. The event is expected to take place at the Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves.
St. Preux comes into the bout following his first loss under the UFC banner. The former University of Tennessee football player was unable to defend Bader’s takedowns and suffered a unanimous decision defeat on Aug. 16. Before the loss, “OSP” had won his 13 of his previous 14 fights.
Cavalcante also suffered a loss at the hands of Bader in his most recent outing. “Feijao” was last in action at UFC 174 in June and has alternated between wins and losses in his last three. In 2012, Cavalcante tested positive for steroids following a bout with Mike Kyle in Strikeforce.
