PBC Returns to Fox Sports 1 on Nov. 10 with Gonzalez-Guerfi

After what will have been a reprieve of almost a month, Premier Boxing Champions will stage another event on Fox Sports 1 with its new “Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays” program. The card will be held inside the Austin City Music Hall in Austin, Texas and is slated to be anchored by a bantamweight tilt between Alejandro “Cobrita” Gonzalez Jr. and Karim Guerfi.

The 10-round affair will see Gonzalez bounce back from a heartbreaking loss to Carl Frampton in July where he lost in a bid to win his first ever world title. Gonzalez (25-2-2, 15 KO's) dropped a unanimous 12-round decision, though he floored the defending IBF 118-pound champion twice in the opening round. His first step toward another title shot is to win and he’ll get a chance to move in that direction on Nov. 10.

“I am excited to get back in the ring and put on a show for the fans in Austin,” said Gonzalez. “I am training harder than ever to get this victory and to get another shot at a world title. I am always in exciting fights, so you won't want to miss any of this.”

A resident of France, Guerfi (22-3, 6 KO's) has yet to challenge for a world title, but a win over the likes of Gonzalez would boost his stock considerably. He’s enjoying a two-fight winning streak over decent competition and he says he’s pumped for his U.S. debut inside the ring.

“It is a thrill to be fighting in the U.S. for the first time and in a main event,” said Guerfi. “I plan on making my arrival count and giving a great fight for all the fans in the arena and watching on television.”

The event will air live on FS1 and Fox Deportes beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
