Earlier Saturday inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena, both headliners for Sunday afternoon’s Premier Boxing Champions card on CBS made the junior welterweight limit, making their fight official. Not to be outdone, both combatants in the co-feature were on point as well.
Cuban sensation Rances Barthelemy (22-0, 13 KOs) had no issues making the 140-pound limit; he tipped the scale at a cool 139.4. Just before “Kid Blast” weighed in, his Mexican opponent Antonio DeMarco (31-4-1, 23 KOs) clocked in at an identical weight.
For the welterweight co-feature, Nigeria’s Wale Omotoso (25-1, 21 KOs) weighed in a few pounds under the 147-pound limit; he checked in at 144.8. His opponent, Pennsylvania’s Sammy Vasquez Jr. (18-0, 13 KOs) made it official at 146.2.
