Former junior middleweight champion Mora (28-3-2, 9 KOs) first hit the scale and came in eight ounces under the 160-pound limit. Jacobs (29-1, 26 KOs) followed suit and his mark at 159.8 pounds, allowing him to officially defend his WBA middleweight strap.
The night’s main event’s combatants also hit the stage without a hitch. Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KOs), a former world champion at 140 and 147 pounds, tipped the scale at 146.8 pounds. Not to be outdone, WBC junior welterweight champion Garcia (30-0, 17 KOs) came in two ounces lighter.
