The Professional Fighters League season will begin in April with events in three different cities.

The organization announced on Monday that its season format — which now will include fighters from Bellator MMA — will take place on April 4, April 12 and April 19 in San Antonio, Las Vegas and Chicago. Fighters in six different weight classes will compete in the PFL season, with the winners earning a $1 million prize at the end of the campaign along with their championship status.

“The toughest test in MMA, the PFL regular season, just got tougher with the addition of stars from Bellator,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray in a release.

“The PFL is excited to kick off the 2024 regular season in front of our great fans in San Antonio, Las Vegas and Chicago. This promises to be the biggest regular season in history, with the PFL heading to 10 top markets around the country and distribution to 160 countries around the world.”

While the PFL hasn’t revealed the entire roster for each weight class in the upcoming season, a few prominent names that will be competing were announced on Monday.

The regular season will begin on April 4 at the Boeing Center in San Antonio and features heavyweights and the newly-added women’s flyweight division. Confirmed participants include 2023 PFL Europe champ Dakota Ditcheva, Bellator flyweight queen Liz Carmouche, 2022 PFL heavyweight champ Ante Delija and former Bellator interim king Valentin Moldavsky.

The second week will take place at The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas and features the light heavyweight and lightweight divisions. Confirmed light heavyweight participants include 2023 PFL champion Impa Kasanganay, PFL Europe king Jakub Nedoh and ex-Bellator ruler Phil Davis. At lightweight, 2023 PFL finalist Clay Collard and former Bellator 155-pound title holder Patricky Freire are set to take part in the season.

Finally, the third week of the 2024 PFL season will go down at Wintrust Arena in Chicago and spotlights the welterweight and featherweight divisions. Undefeated PFL prospect Magomed Umalatov and ex-Bellator 170-pound champ Andrey Koreshkov will compete at welterweight, while 2023 PFL champion Jesus Pinedo and the undefeated Timur Khizriev have been confirmed for lightweight.

The full roster, along with dates and locations for the rest of the PFL season are expected to be announced soon.
