The International Fighting Organization on Sunday announced that light heavyweight
Jesse Veium will challenge
Travis Wiuff (Pictures), 48-11-0, for his 205-pound IFO title at the promotion's Dec. 28 Las Vegas fight card.
Veium (12-1-0), of Green Bay, Wis., will replace PRIDE veteran
Cyrille Diabate (Pictures), who was set to challenge for Wiuff's crown. The reason for the Frenchman's withdrawl from the contest was not released.
Also announced for the card, International Female and Womens International Boxing Association flyweight champion Elana Reid will make her mixed martial arts debut against winless
Tammie Schneider, who has fallen short in her two MMA fights.
Reid, a hard-hitting southpaw fighting out of Las Vegas, captured the IFBA title in July with a unanimous decision victory over incumbent champion Shin-Hee Choi of South Korea. Reid's professional boxing record stands at 19-3-5.
