Paige VanZant is returning to her roots.
Just weeks removed from her stint on “Dancing with the Stars,” the Ultimate Fighting Championship strawweight star will return to the Octagon on Aug. 27 to confront Bec Rawlings.
The pairing was announced Thursday morning by the Las Vegas-based promotion.
VanZant (6-2, 3-1 UFC), 22, last saw action in a one-sided loss to Rose Namajunas last December. The throttling came to an end with a fifth-round rear-naked choke.
Rawlings (7-4, 2-1 UFC) will enter the bout on different terms as the 27-year-old has won her last two bouts with impressive conquests of Seo Hee Ham and Lisa Ellis.
Aug. 27’s UFC card goes down at the Rogers Center in Vancouver, and two other bouts are confirmed for the bill as Anthony Pettis will drop to 145 pounds to battle Charles Oliveira and Garreth McLellan will lock horns with Alessio Di Chirico in a middleweight clash.
