Rousimar Palhares has signed to debut in the UFC on May 24 against Ivan Salaverry (Pictures), sources close to the Brazilian have told Sherdog.com.

The fight will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

At 7-1, Palhares is the Fury FC middleweight champion and recognized as one of the top up-and-coming talents in Brazil. Salaverry, a long-time UFC veteran, will be his first international test.
