Bellator 167 (online betting) has a new headliner following an injury to ex-featherweight champion Pat Curran.

Curran, who was originally supposed to face John Teixeira da Conceicao, in the main event on Dec. 3, has withdrawn from the card due to an undisclosed ailment. As a result, a lightweight rematch between Patricky Freire and Derek Campos will now serve as the evening’s new headliner. Texeira, meanwhile, will remain on the card and meet Justin Lawrence in a featured 145-pound tilt.

Freire defeated Campos via second-round technical knockout in their first meeting at Bellator 117 on April 18, 2014.

Bellator 167 takes place at Winstar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla., and airs on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT. It is the second of back-to-back Bellator MMA events at the venue.

Freire last competed at Bellator 157, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Michael Chandler in a lightweight title bout on June 24. Prior to that, “Pitbull” had earned consecutive victories over Edimilson Souza and Ryan Couture.

Campos, meanwhile, enters the matchup on a two-fight winning streak. After knocking out Melvin Guillard at Bellator 149, “The Stallion” outpointed Djamil Chan in his most recent outing at Bellator 161 on Sept. 16.
