Bellator MMA featherweight king Patricio Freire and lightweight titlist Will Brooks are both prominently featured at the promotion’s next tent-pole event on Nov. 6, but the two champions aren’t exactly part of the mutual admiration club.

“Pitbull” fired the first shot on Twitter Friday morning, bragging to Brooks about his spot atop the Bellator 145 bill. The dialogue escalated from there, with Brooks eventually telling the Brazilian that “I’m going to slap you in your f---ing mouth.”

While a superfight between the two champions isn’t out of the realm of possibility, a Brooks matchup with Patricio Freire’s brother, Bellator lightweight Patricky Freire, seems far more likely.

Patricio Freire defends his 145-pound belt against Daniel Straus in the Bellator 145 main event at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, while Brooks puts his lightweight title on the line vs. Marcin Held in the evening’s co-headliner.
