Patrick Cummins and Antonio Carlos Jr. will square off at UFC Fight Night “Machida vs. Dollaway” on Dec. 20.

The promotion’s Brazilian branch recently announced the light heavyweight pairing, which takes place at Jose Correa Arena in Sao Paulo. The card is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Lyoto Machida and C.B. Dollaway.

After suffering a first-round technical knockout loss to current 205-pound No. 1 contender Daniel Cormier in his short-notice debut at UFC 170, Cummins has posted back-to-back victories over Roger Narvaez and Kyle Kingsbury in his last two Octagon appearances. A former NCAA All-American wrestler at Penn State University, Cummins has finished five of his six professional victories inside the distance.

Carlos Jr., meanwhile, moves to 205 pounds after winning the heavyweight crown on Season 3 of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil.” The 24-year-old known as “Cara de Sapato” capped off his run through the reality show with a unanimous decision triumph over Vitor Miranda at the “TUF: Brazil 3” finale on May 31. The Brazilian is unbeaten in four professional outings.
