The UFC 210 card is beginning to take shape, as the promotion announced a trio of bouts on Friday for its April 8 card in Buffalo.
At light heavyweight, Patrick Cummins will meet Jan Blachowicz, while Irene Aldana will square off against Katlyn Chookagian in a women’s bantamweight affair. Additionally, Shane Burgos will face Charles Rosa at featherweight.
UFC 210 takes place at KeyBank Arena and is headlined by a light heavyweight championship rematch between Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. The event will also feature a pivotal middleweight clash between Gegard Mousasi and Chris Weidman.
Cummins enters the matchup on a two-fight skid after suffering consecutive TKO defeats against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Glover Teixeira. Blachowicz, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision defeat to former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson at UFC Fight Night 93.
Aldana came up short in her promotional debut, dropping an entertaining decision to Leslie Smith at UFC on Fox 22. Chookagian suffered her first defeat in nine professional outings at UFC 205, where she lost a split decision against Liz Carmouche.
Burgos is 8-0 as a pro, including a three round verdict over Tiago dos Santos e Silva at UFC Fight Night 102 on Dec. 9. Rosa last appeared at UFC Fight Night 81 in January 2016, when he outpointed Kyle Bochniak.
