Patrick Walsh will fight undefeated Daniel Kelly in a middleweight contest at UFC Fight Night “Brown vs. Saffiedine” on Feb. 14.
Ultimate Fighting Championship announced the bout on Thursday via Fox Sports. The card will take place at the 1stBank Events Center in Broomfield, Colo., and is headlined by a welterweight showdown pitting Matt Brown against Tarec Saffiedine.
A member of “The Ultimate Fighter: 19,” Walsh officially made his UFC debut at the reality show’s finale in July, defeating Dan Spohn via unanimous decision. The 26-year-old has only tasted defeat once in his career, losing via submission in 18 seconds to fellow UFC fighter Keith Berish on the regional circuit.
Kelly will look to remain undefeated the next time he steps foot inside the Octagon. The 37-year-old judoka is coming off an impressive first-round kimura finish of Luke Zachrich at UFC Fight Night “Bisping vs. Rockhold.” Of the Aussie's eight wins, seven have come before reaching the judges’ scorecards.
