Patricky Freire will get a chance to avenge his loss to Derek Anderson when the two lightweights square off at Bellator 147 in San Jose, Calif., on Dec. 4.

Promotion officials announced the bout on Tuesday. Bellator 147 takes place at San Jose State University Event Center and features a 155-pound matchup pitting Josh Thomson against Pablo Villaseca. Also on the main card is a featherweight showdown between Georgi Karakhanyan and Daniel Weichel.

Additionally, the California-based promotion revealed three preliminary contests for the event: A.J. McKee vs. John Donaldson at featherweight; James Terry vs. Mauricio Alonso at welterweight and Thomas Diagne vs. Erick Sanchez at featherweight.

Freire dropped a unanimous decision to Anderson at Bellator 98, a defeat which marked the end of a three-fight skid for the Brazilian “Pitbull” brother. Since then, Freire has won four of his last five, including a unanimous decision triumph over Saad Awad at Bellator 141 on Aug. 28.

Anderson, meanwhile, has split four bouts since his victory over Freire. Most recently, the 25-year-old Californian suffered a split-decision setback against Brent Primus at Bellator 141.
