Paul Craig to Make Octagon Debut Against Luis Henrique da Silva at UFC on Fox 22

Unbeaten light heavyweight prospect Paul Craig, who has been submitting people left and right all across Europe, has been promoted from BAMMA to the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The Scottish grappler will take on fellow unbeaten Luis Henrique da Silva at UFC on Fox 22 in December.

MMAJunkie was the first to report the matchup.

Known for his terrific ground game, “Bearjew” will finally step into the Octagon for the first time. Of his eight pro fights, only one man has been able to see the second round. Craig is coming off a first-round submission of Marcin Lazarz at BAMMA 23 last November, but he hasn’t fought since.

Da Silva, meanwhile, has been equally as deadly but the Brazilian has been knocking everybody out. “Frankenstein” has knocked out 11 of the 12 men he’s faced, though in his last bout, he armbarred Joachim Christensen at UFC Fight Night 96 in October.

UFC of Fox 22 will be headlined by popular crossover fighter Paige VanZant continuing her post-“Dancing with the Stars” stint by colliding with Michelle Waterson. Also set for the marquee will be Mickey Gall taking on polarizing Sage Northcutt in a matchup of young lions while Alan Jouban will oppose Mike Perry. Bryan Barberena will square off with Colby Covington as well while Urijah Faber will oppose Brad Pickett.

UFC on Fox 22 will take place at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, Calif., and will be televised live on both UFC Fight Pass and Fox.
