Melvin Manhoef and Paul Daley are two of Bellator MMA’s newest signings.
During an appearance on “The MMA Hour,” Bellator President Scott Coker made it clear that if he had his way, he would place the pair in a fight as soon as November.

“As great as it would be [on] paper, this is a fight that will not be happening,” Daley wrote, “for personal reasons, plus the more obvious reason of him being a former training partner, mentor, and someone I owe some of my training practises and methods [to]... Happy that Bellator are looking to schedule me to fight in November, but I would not even consider this fight.”
With Manhoef set to fight Doug Marshall at Bellator 125 on Sept. 19 and Daley making his final appearance for BAMMA against Igor Fernandes on Sept. 12, Coker’s method of thinking put the two on a collision course barring any sort of injury. Out of respect for Manhoef, Daley will look for other avenues when it comes time for him to return to the Bellator cage.
Manhoef, the man many call “No Mercy,” has yet to address the potential fight.
