A pair of Poland natives will compete on home soil on April 11, as Pawel Pawlak will square off against Sheldon Westcott and Krzysztof Jotko will lock horns with Garreth McLellan at UFC Fight Night “Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2.”
Promotion officials announced the bouts on Wednesday. UFC Fight Night “Gonzaga vs. Cro Cop 2” takes place at Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland, and is headlined a heavyweight rematch pitting Gabriel Gonzaga against Mirko Filipovic.
Pawlek suffered his first loss in 11 pro outings at UFC Fight Night “Munoz vs. Mousasi,” dropping a three-round verdict to Peter Sobotta. “Plastinho” has finished all but one of his victories inside the distance. A finalist on “The Ultimate Fighter: Nations,” Westcott was stopped in the second round by Elias Theodorou in his promotional debut.
Jotko went 1-1 in the Octagon in 2014, tapping to a Magnus Cedenblad guillotine choke on May 31 before garnering a unanimous decision victory over Tor Troeng on Oct. 4. McLellan is a UFC newcomer with a career mark of 12-2. Nine of the South African’s triumphs have come by way of submission.
