Dominic Breazeale vs. Amir Mansour

Round 1

Breazeale defends a few southpaw jabs as soon as the fight starts. Mansour is aggressive as he’s throwing everything at the taller man. Breazeale is patient and cracks his foe with a left but Mansour shakes it off. Amir backs off a little now as Breazeale starts to open up with his own jab. Mansour clinches at the midway point, trying to make it a dirty brawl early. Breazeale doubles up his jab but the follow-up right misses. Mansour storms back with a flurry to the head, but Dominic is unfazed. Mansour misses a wild three-punch combo near the bell. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 2

Mansour circles to his right before cracking the 2012 Olympian with a loopy overhand right to the ear. Breazeale shakes it off and resets behind the jab. Mansour jabs to the body a few times before being popped by a choppy right to the forehead. Breazeale backs up his foe with a left hook but Mansour fires back with a right and left to the noggin that rocks the heavy favorite. Breazeale backs into the ropes and Mansour slugs away, but Dominic is able to cover up and eventually escape to his left to regroup. Breazeale paws with the jab before tagging Amir with a left hook with 30 seconds left. Mansour digs to the body late but they are mostly blocked. A left by Amir at the bell. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 3

Breazeale comes out tall behind the jab, but his shots are tentative and coy. Mansour charges in with a barrage but he’s drilled by a right uppercut. They slug it out but Mansour unloads a haymaker of a right hook and floors Breazeale. Dominic struggles to his feet and he is in bad shape. His legs are jelly and Mansour swarms him. Amir is looking for the huge upset and pounds on the taller man, who is struggling to stay on his feet. Breazeale backs away and shakes off the webs and he’s recovering while he paws with the jab. Mansour is relentless and he lands to the head and body. Breazeale is still groggy with a minute left as Mansour continues to come after him. Breazeale pops him with a right, but he looks exhausted. A huge right uppercut-left hook by Breazeale at the bell and Mansour is rocked but the bell ends the round. 10-8 Mansour.

Round 4

Breazeale is extra tentative to start the round. Mansour is aggressive still but he’s not reckless. Dominic is moving forward now but he’s not letting his hands go. Mansour jabs to the body but he’s taking it slowly now. With a minute left, Amir cracks Dominic with a loopy right to the head. Breazeale shakes it off before landing a right and left upstairs. They trade leather but Breazeale nails him with a straight right. They clinch again and Breazeale falls to the canvas, but it’s not clear what put him down. 10-9 Mansour.

Round 5

Mansour is moving around early, allowing Breazeale to toss out a series of jabs. They come together and Breazeale tumbles to the canvas again, eliciting some boos from the crowd. A double left hook and then a massive right to the jaw sags Breazeale into the ropes. He stays up, but Mansour is all over him again. Breazeale fights back and then pivots off the ropes to escape. A short left uppercut and then a right to the dome rocks Mansour, who stumbles toward the ropes. They swing wildly at center ring before clinching. Breazeale backs off and then fires off a pair of jabs. Mansour clears his head and digs a left upstairs, but there’ nothing behind it. A violent exchange at the bell but Breazeale lands a few decent rights. 10-9 Breazeale.

Before the start of the sixth round, the fight is called off. Mansour is staying on his stool and the doctor is looking at him. Mansour’s cornerman angrily throws his hat out of the ring. Mansour looks upset and hurt as he hangs his head on his stool.

Replays show Mansour quitting before the start of the sixth, saying, “That’s it. I can’t close my mouth.” He officially loses via TKO.

Sammy Vasquez vs. Aron Martinez

Round 1

Vasquez comes out cautiously from the southpaw stance with a few flickering jabs. Martinez stays in a shell and sticks a few jabs of his own out. Martinez backs into the ropes and Sammy slams a series of hooks to his body. They come together in a brief exchange, punctuated by a straight left to the sternum by Vasquez. Nice straight left upstairs by Sammy, which followed a volley of shots to the body and head. They clinch and maul each other on the inside before being split apart. Vasquez digs a series of shots to the body and head late, confusing his foe with his speed. 10-9 Vasquez.

Round 2

Nice jabs from Vasquez before slamming a furious combo into his foes body and head. Sammy nails him with a quick left hook and then a volley of shots downstairs. Sammy goes back up top with a right and left, but Martinez motions for him to continue punching. Aron comes out of his shell with a right-left to the ribs but Vasquez fires a right cross to the noggin. Martinez continues to clinch and smother his opponent’s shots, offering little offense of his own. A few more jabs from Vasquez close out the round. 10-9 Vasquez.

Round 3

Martinez storms out of his corner and lands a right, but Sammy is unfazed. They trade blows before clashing heads, though neither man is hurt from it. Aron gets inside and is looking to make it a trench war, but he doesn’t land much. Sammy fires off a pair of left uppercuts on the inside but Martinez takes them both. Martinez opens up a flurry, landing to the head and body, but his lack of power has no effect on Vasquez. Sammy counters with a flurry of his own, backing the Californian off. Martinez tags him with a sweeping left to the head, but Vasquez fires back with a flurry to the body. 10-9 Vasquez.

Round 4

Martinez is aggressive early, forcing Vasquez to back up and rely on his jab. Martinez stays in a tight defensive shell as he tries to get inside, but Vasquez shoe-shines him along the ropes. A pair of uppercuts from “Sergeant” but they don’t budge his foe. They continue to fight on the inside, but nothing hard is landing from either. The welters trade blows along the ropes and tear into each other, but neither has enough power to hurt the other just yet. 10-9 Vasquez.

Round 5

Sammy opens the round with the jab as he sticks and moves early. Martinez plods forward, trying to again turn it into a phone booth brawl. A right hook to the head by Vasquez, but it’s mostly blocked. Aron cracks him with a right cross, but Vasquez slams a three-punch combo to the body and head. They let their hands go with a minute left, but Sammy’s shots get there first. Still, Martinez walks right through them and continues to come forward. 10-9 Vasquez.

Round 6

Vasquez leads with a series of jabs, keeping Martinez away early. Sammy stays away and at a safe distance routinely tossing out his jab for the first 90 seconds of the frame. Martinez can’t get past it now, and suddenly the boos starting creeping into the setting. Martinez is now backing up, not letting his hands go. Vasquez tags him twice late, forcing a clinch from Aron. 10-9 Vasquez.

Martinez is slumped on his stool in between rounds as his gloves are being removed. The fight is over and Martinez appears to be injured. It's a result of a left hand injury, we're told.

Danny Garcia vs. Robert Guerrero

Round 1

Jack Reiss is the ref for this main event and after a fierce staredown, Garcia sticks a jab and then a right to the body. Guerrero tosses out a straight left and then charges in to a clinch. They fight on the inside, digging to each other’s body. A lead left hook after the break from Garcia, but it just clips “The Ghost.” Garcia stays away as Guerrero sticks out a few jabs from his southpaw stance. “Swift” lunges with a pair of left hook and then a right, but he’s way off target. Another nice jab by Robert. Garcia tags him with a lead right but Guerrero counters with a right hook to the head. Guerrero slams a straight to the gut just before the bell. 10-9 Guerrero.

Round 2

Guerrero comes out and swings wildly, but his right and left both miss. Garcia remains patient, looking to establish a distance. Nice left hook on the inside from the Philly fighter, but Guerrero takes it. Guerrero comes in with a right but he’s tagged by a quick right cross. Robert sticks a few jabs into his foe’s body at the midway point. The Puerto Rican doubles up his jab before touching Guerrero with a left hook. “The Ghost” comes in with a nice left and right, but Garcia parries them both. Danny cracks him with a left hook as Guerrero comes in, but Robert walks through it. A nice right from Garcia on the inside late. The Californian lands a decent left at the bell. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 3

Guerrero swarms his foe immediately, but he comes into quickly to the point of smothering his own punches. They tie up and slam shots to the body. Guerrero chases after the shorter man and traps him in the corner, but Garcia nails him with a terrific left hook. Guerrero is very aggressive, forcing Garcia on his bike. Robert tosses out a few nice right hooks before tying his counterpart up. Garcia separates and then unleashes a flurry to the body before a sweet left hook to the dome. They clinch again and again, fighting on the inside. They split again but Guerrero eats two left hooks. Robert slams a right to the body late; another very close round. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 4

Guerrero presses Garcia into a corner immediately into the frame and Garcia slips as he unfurls a left hook. A right connects for “The Ghost” and Garcia almost falls down, but he catches himself. Guerrero opens up a flurry but Garcia covers up and then escapes. Guerrero cracks him with a nice lead right and Garcia retreats. Guerrero is all over the Philadelphian and he’s landing sporadic shots to the head. Danny finally breaks free and regroups with a minute left but Guerrero remains relentless. Nice left uppercut from a distance from Guerrero; the punch snaps Garcia’s head back. They trade fierce lefts to the body. Garcia tags him with a solid left hook to the head late but this round is all Guerrero. 10-9 Guerrero.

Round 5

Again, “The Ghost” explodes out his corner and catches his foe with a left. Garcia quickly escapes out of the corner and backs off. Guerrero continues to harass “Swift” with the pressure and Garcia seems to be uncomfortable. A nice left to the jaw for Guerrero, but Danny answers with a left to the gut. “The Ghost” lands a thwacking jab and now Garcia has some swelling and redness under his right eye. Garcia doubles up a left hook and it lands, but Guerrero doesn’t even blink. A left-right to the body, followed by a left hook to the jaw for Garcia, but it doesn’t budge the Gilroy fighter. Garcia tags his foe with a left hook late, but Guerrero gets inside and lands a pair of shots of his own. A close round again. 10-9 Guerrero.

Round 6

Guerrero throws a double right hook behind the jab, but Garcia blocks the punches. Garcia slams a left hook to the belly. Another. Guerrero comes back with a right and then a left, but Danny counters with a long right hook of his own. Guerrero continues to walk right after his foe like Jason Voorhees, but Garcia is able to keep a distance and tags him with rights and lefts. Guerrero walks into a powerful left hook and the tides have change. Guerrero swallows a straight right and then another left hook. Garcia has found his groove and laces the taller man with another right to the face. Hard right to the jaw stops Guerrero in his tracks late. Before “The Ghost” can answer, he is nailed by a left hook. Huge round for “Swift.” 10-9 Garcia.

Round 7

Guerrero isn’t as aggressive as he has been and allows Garcia to quickly find his range. They clinch a few times early. Nice right to the cheek by Guerrero and Garcia backs up. He resets his feet and then plants a massive right to Robert’s jaw. Garcia with a sizzling right to the body before being tied up. Guerrero goes low with a pair of hooks but Danny counters him with a short left up top. Guerrero appears to be slowing down a little bit, but Garcia is keeping a distance. A double right to the head by Garcia with 40 seconds left. Garcia catches him with a check hook, but Guerrero comes right back with a left of his own. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 8

A few jabs by Garcia early, but Guerrero quickly ties him up and digs to the body. Garcia lands a counter left hook but “The Ghost” answers with a right and left up top. Garcia is staying just outside of Guerrero’s reach and darts inside for a few jabs to the belly. The action has slowed quite a bit with a minute left. Hard right hook to the body from Garcia and Guerrero backs off, a grimace on his face. Guerrero counters a right to the ribs with a right hook to the head late. A big right cross to the jaw from the Philly fighter at the bell, causing Guerrero to stumble. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 9

Guerrero’s father is upset with his son, scolding him for not letting his hands go. Robert comes out with a few jabs but Garcia is moving well. Danny backs into the ropes and eats a left hand, but Guerrero quickly ties him up. Guerrero lands a short uppercut on the inside but Garcia backs off. Plenty of clinching early and Garcia isn’t letting his hands go at all at the midway point. Smooth straight right to the grill by “Swift,” and then a sizzling counter left hook that snaps his foe’s head back. Guerrero walks dead into a lead right and again his head snaps back. Garcia continues to create distance easily out-boxing the frustrated Gilroy native. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 10

Garcia backs off early, per the norm, and Guerrero simply walks after him. A pair of rights miss from Danny but Guerrero is out of position to counter. Finally, Robert dives in and tries to create a brawl, but Garcia ties him up to negate it. A lead right and then a counter left hook for “Swift,” who is starting to make Guerrero look oafish. There is some swelling around Guerrero’s left eye now and “The Ghost” seemingly can’t get into a rhythm whatsoever. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 11

Guerrero comes out aggressively again, likely sensing he needs to close out strong to possibly win. Garcia backs away and uses his jab but Guerrero ties him up. A left hook-push sends Robert through the ropes and Garcia chuckles at him as he waits for the Gilroy fighter to “re-enter” the ring. When the fight resumes, Guerrero is laced by a sizzling right to the jaw. “The Ghost” take sit well, but he has to swallow a jab and a left hook moments later. A pair of shots to the gut, followed by a left hook to the head by “Swift.” Robert storms back with a left and a right, but Garcia drills him with a massive uppercut. Guerrero shakes it off and continues to come forward and at the bell, the two go toe-to-toe briefly. 10-9 Garcia.

Round 12

Guerrero likely needs a knockout in order to win this one, so he needs to go for broke. The Californian digs a left and right to the body, but Garcia ties him up along the ropes. Guerrero is fairly reckless but Garcia’s distance is superb early on. They clinch a few times , eliciting boos from the crowd. A left hook from Danny, but Robert counters with a right of his own. At the midway point, Guerrero is very aggressive, chasing after Garcia. They tie up again along the ropes. They slug it out in the center of the ring with a minute left, but neither lands anything massive. They clinch again. With 30 seconds left, Guerrero needs to close his foe out. Guerrero runs at his man but Garcia lands a corker of a left hook. They slug it out and go toe-to-toe until the end of the fight, embracing at the end. Very close round. 10-9 Guerrero (116-112 Garcia).
