Professional Fighters League Partners with American Armed Forces Network

Newly-formed Professional Fighters League is set to host its first-ever event on Friday night with a special night at Daytona International Speedway. And just before the first punches and kicks are set to be launched, the Washington, D.C.-based promotion announced that it has partnered with American Forces Network (AFN).

The AFN broadcasts television and radio programs across U.S. military bases scattered across the globe. According to a news release from the PFL, the partnership will cover all of the PFL events in 2017 leading up to the beginning of the inaugural season, which begins in January 2018.

“We are proud that our servicemen and women can experience the excitement of the Professional Fighters League through the AFN,” said Carlos Silva, President of Event Production and Business Operations for the PFL. “We remain grateful for the incredible service and fierce commitment of our military, and everything they do on a daily basis to protect our country. The Professional Fighters League is honored to play a small role in helping to provide them an escape through our 2017 live competitions.”

PFL 1 will be televised live on NBCSN immediately following the Xfinity Series Coca-Cola Firecracker 250. The promotion expects to have its first bout sometime around 10:30 p.m. ET/7:30 p.m. PT.
