Ruth, a former three-time NCAA national champion wrestler at Penn State University, went 2-0 to begin his Bellator MMA tenure in 2016. After stopping Dustin-Collins Miles via first-round TKO in his debut at Bellator 163, the 26-year-old did the same to Emanuele Palombi a little more than one month later at Bellator 168. Goodwine, meanwhile, is 1-0 as a professional.
Fortune was a Division II national champion wrestler at Grand Canyon University. The 26-year-old heavyweight is also 2-0 with the promotion, with TKO triumphs over Cody Miskell at Bellator 163 and Will Johnson at Bellator 171 to his credit. Busick will be making his professional debut.
Bellator 178 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., and is headlined by a featherweight championship clash between Daniel Straus and Patricio Freire. The main card will be televised on Spike at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT, with prelims streaming on Bellator.com immediately prior.
