By Tristen Critchfield Jul 2, 2015
The Resurrection Fighting Alliance 27 main event will move forward as planned, as both Joe Murphy and Jesse Brock made weight ahead of their bantamweight showdown.

Murphy tipped the scales at 136 pounds, while Brock checked in at 135.5 at Thursday’s weigh-ins. RFA 27 takes place Centurylink Arena in Boise, Idaho on Friday night and airs on AXS-TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

Murphy, 27, is looking to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Terrion Ware in his most recent outing at RFA 23 this past February. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native is 8-2 as a professional, including a first-round TKO win against Bruno Frazatto in his RFA debut last December. Five of Murphy’s triumphs have come by way of submission.

Brock, meanwhile, enters his promotional debut riding a five-fight winning streak. The Boise native last competed on May 15, taking a unanimous verdict over Bendy Casmir at Front Street Fights 5. The well-traveled Brock has compiled a 20-8 pro mark and has competed for a number of organizations, including Bellator MMA, Vale Tudo Japan, Rage in the Cage and Shooto Brazil.
