Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is throwing his hat into the Bellator light heavyweight title ring.

The promotion announced during a Monday conference call that Jackson will square off with former Bellator 205-pound ruler Christian M’Pumbu as part of a four-man light heavyweight bracket which begins at Bellator 110 on Feb. 28. The tournament will also pit Muhammed Lawal against Mikhail Zayats.

Bellator 110 kicks off the promotion’s 10th season and will take place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. Although participants were not announced, the event is also expected to include the beginning of an eight-man featherweight tournament. The evening’s main card will air on Spike TV, with preliminary bouts streaming immediately prior on Spike.com.

Jackson was expected to make his Bellator debut on pay-per-view against Tito Ortiz on Nov. 2. However, neck injuries forced Ortiz to pull out of the fight. Instead, “Rampage squared off with Joey Beltran at Bellator 108, winning via technical knockout in the opening frame. It was the Memphis native’s first fight following a 7-5 stint with the UFC. Jackson said during Monday’s call that he is no longer interested in fighting Ortiz.

M’Pumbu began his Bellator tenure with wins over Chris Davis, Tim Carpenter and Rich Hale. The 36-year-old then lost a unanimous verdict to Travis Wiuff in a non-title bout before relinquishing the belt to Attila Vegh at Bellator 91.
