Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will kick off a worldwide media tour at Wembley Stadium in July later this month, according to a report from BBC.
The event is expected to be free, but further details regarding ticketing and the exact date have yet to be announced. According to a report from The Sun, the first promotional event for the fight is expected to attract approximately 10,000 fans and will take place in “two weeks time.”
Other potential cities and venues for the tour remain unknown. McGregor, the UFC lightweight champion, did an 12-day international press tour in 2015 to promote a proposed matchup with Jose Aldo at UFC 189. Aldo eventually was forced to pull out of the contest and they did not meet until UFC 194 later that year.
Mayweather and McGregor will square off under boxing rules at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Aug. 26.
