Fifteen-fight mixed martial arts veteran Sergio da Silva was arrested for an alleged bank robbery in Queens, N.Y. on Aug. 24, according to TMZ Sports.

Da Silva reportedly stole approximately $50,000 from a Citibank in Queens. The 31-year-old allegedly entered the facility wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun. He jumped over the class counter in the teller area and made threats with his weapon.

Da Silva was alone, according to the report, and police were able to identify him by his fingerprints at the scene. The fighter, who reportedly lives on the same street at the bank, was arrested on Thursday.

Nicknamed “The Savage,” da Silva last appeared in the cage at Bellator 180 at Madison Square Garden on June 24, losing to Matt Rizzo via third-round submission. Da Silva owns a 6-9 career mark and has also competed numerous times for the Cage Fury Fighting Championships promotion. Other notable opponents for da Silva include UFC veterans Aljamain Sterling and Alptekin Ozkilic, both of whom defeated him via unanimous decision early in his career.
