A match between former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight champion Frank Mir and Todd Duffee is in the works according to a report on “UFC Tonight.”

The report stated that while no exact date or venue had been set, the Las Vegas-based promotion is eyeing a date this summer.

The 29-year-old Duffee, 9-2, has openly campaigned for the fight on Twitter.

Mir, 17-9, who recently ended a four-fight skid with a first-round mauling of Antonio Silva in Brazil, has publicly accepted the challenge. The 35-year-old has faced a who’s who of the heavyweight division’s elite over the course of his 14-year career.
