Report: James Krause Off ‘TUF 23’ Finale; UFC Seeking New Opponent for Ross Pearson

Lightweight contender James Krause has withdrawn from “The Ultimate Fighter 23” Finale, according to a Monday report from MMAJunkie.com.

Krause was supposed to lock horns with Ross Pearson, whom the UFC is reportedly hoping to keep on the card against a new opponent.

There has been no official announcement regarding Krause’s removal nor the nature of his withdrawal from the card.

UFC’s “TUF 23” Finale will go down July 8 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The event is anchored by UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk defending her belt against rival “TUF 23” coach Claudia Gadelha.

The event will also feature the two finalists from the men’s light heavyweight group from the show, as well as the two women strawweight finalists. Doo Ho Choi will take on Thiago Tavares, Andrew Holbrook will clash with Joaquim Silva, and Gray Maynard will go toe-to-toe with Fernando Bruno, among other fights.
