A pivotal showdown between Top 10 middleweights Mark Munoz and Michael Bisping is expected to headline an Ultimate Fighting Championship card in Manchester on Oct. 26.
After nearly a year-long hiatus, Munoz made a successful return to the Octagon at UFC 162, utilizing his vicious ground-and-pound to earn a unanimous verdict against Tim Boetsch. Prior to that victory, “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” had a four-fight winning streak halted in brutal fashion, as he was knocked out in the second round by current middleweight king Chris Weidman at UFC on Fuel TV 4.
Like Munoz, Bisping also recently rebounded from a devastating knockout loss. After falling victim to a Vitor Belfort head kick at UFC on FX 7 in January, “The Count” captured a technical decision over Alan Belcher at UFC 159. The Manchester native has won six of his last eight fights in the UFC.
