Following an injury to Valerie Letourneau, replacement Larissa Pacheco will make her Ultimate Fighting Championship debut against Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night “Bigfoot vs. Arlovski” on Sept. 13.
Combate.com was first to report the bantamweight fight; UFC officials have yet to confirm. The event takes place at Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil, and is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Antonio Silva and Andrei Arlovski.
Pacheco will look to keep her undefeated record intact against the formidable Andrade. A 19-year-old Jungle Fight champion, Pacheco has finished each one of her fights by knockout or submission. Since winning the title against Irene Aldana at Jungle Fight 63, she has defended her belt once against Lizianne Silveira da Conceicao at Jungle Fight 68.
After faltering in her UFC debut against Liz Carmouche one year ago, Andrade has looked powerful in picking up a pair of decision wins over Raquel Pennington and Rosi Sexton. “Bate Estaca” has finished all but two of her professional fights inside the distance.
