According to a report from TMZ Sports on Friday night, Robbie Lawler has pulled out of a welterweight showdown with Donald Cerrone at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov. 12. Although the contest has yet to be announced by the promotion, multiple outlets confirmed the pairing this past week.

The reason for Lawler’s withdrawal is unknown at this time. According to the report, Cerrone will remain on the card against a new opponent. UFC 205 marks the Las Vegas-based promotion’s highly-anticipated debut in the Empire State and is expected to include a middleweight showdown pitting Tim Kennedy and Rashad Evans as well as a lightweight clash between Al Iaquinta and Thiago Alves.

Lawler last appeared at UFC 201 on July 30, when he relinquished the 170-pound title to Tyron Woodley in a first-round knockout loss. Cerrone, meanwhile, has gone 3-0 since moving from lightweight to welterweight, earning impressive triumphs over Rick Story, Patrick Cote and Alex Oliveira.
