Report: Spike TV Close to Deal with UFC
If there aren't any late hiccups, a new generation of UFC stars
will be reared on Spike TV.
The Las Vegas-based mixed martial arts promoter is close to agreeing on a multi-year, multi-million deal that would keep the promotional giant on the network with which it first partnered to produce the successful "Ultimate Fighter" reality program, Multichannel News reported Friday.
Since joining forces in 2005, Spike TV and UFC have partnered for five seasons of TUF and 15 live fight cards. The new deal, which Multichannel News reported would cost the network over $100 million, provides for more live fight cards.
