A pivotal welterweight showdown is reportedly in the works for the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s next trip to Macau.

According to a report on Fox Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight,” the UFC intends to pair Hector Lombard with Dong Hyun Kim for its August 23 UFC Fight Night event at Cotai Arena. No other bouts have been announced for the show, which is expected to stream live on UFC Fight Pass.

Lombard, 36, has gone undefeated since dropping to welterweight, knocking out Nate Marquardt last October before earning a clear-cut unanimous decision win over Jake Shields this past March at UFC 171.

Kim, 32, has won four straight fights heading into his confrontation with the former Bellator middleweight champion. The South Korean “Stun Gun” kicked off last year with a one-sided decision win over hard-punching Siyar Bahadurzada and then knocked out Erick Silva in a wild matchup this past October. Kim then produced a sure-fire “Knockout of the Year” nominee on March 1, when he stopped John Hathaway with a sublime spinning elbow to close the UFC’s last visit to Macau.
