All signs are pointing towards Ronda Rousey defending her UFC women’s bantamweight title against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro.
Rousey, 28, most recently defeated Cat Zingano in 14-seconds at UFC 184. The undefeated former Olympian is presently filming another movie, but has made it clear that she intends on fighting Correia. “Rowdy” has finished her last three opponents in the first round and has now headlined or co-headlined three PPV’s for the Las Vegas-based promotion.
Correia, 31, is also undefeated and has taken out two of Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen” counterparts in Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler. “Pitbull” trains under the Pitbull Brothers fight team and would be making her first Octagon appearance in her home country of Brazil.
