UFC 225 keeps getting better and better.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced that a bout between top featherweights Ricardo Lamas and Mirsad Bektic has been added to an already stacked card. Lamas, a perennial contender in the featherweight division, will be looking to rebound from a shocking knockout loss to Josh Emmett in his last outing.
Bektic is perhaps the most hotly-tipped prospect in the division and will be looking to build upon his impressive knockout victory over Godofredo Castro last month. Bektic suffered a defeat against Darren Elkins in a spectacular come-from-behind finish in his latest action. At 27, Bektic will be eager to make his mark on the division and make his move towards title contention.
UFC 225 goes down June 9 from United Center in Chicago, and is headlined by two title fights. In the co-main event, Rafael dos Anjos face Colby Covington for the interim welterweight title and in the main event, Robert Whittaker will be defending his crown against Yoel Romero ins a fascinating middleweight rematch.
