Roberto Garcia never made it to the scale on Thursday ahead of his scheduled bout against Shawn Porter at Premier Boxing Champions on Spike and as a result won’t compete Friday.
The exact reason why Garcia has been forced out are unknown at this time, but the fact that Bone was ready to serve as a replacement could mean that PBC was aware that something like this may occur.
Bone has been victorious in his last four professional outings since dropping the first loss of his career in 2013. The Ecuadorian has not finished any of his opponents and last competed against Peter Oluoch in October.
Porter weighed in at 146.7 on Thursday and has yet to publicly address the change in opponent.
