Roger Gracie, Michal Pasternak to Vie for Vacant LHW Belt at One Championship 41

By Tristen Critchfield Apr 27, 2016

A previously announced bout pitting Roger Gracie against Michal Pasternak at One Championship 41 will now be for the promotion’s vacant light heavyweight title.

Additionally, a middleweight championship clash between Vitaly Bigdash and Alexey Butorin was removed from the card. One Championship 41 “Ascent to Power” takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, on May 6 and features an atomweight title tilt between Angela Lee and Mei Yamaguchi.

Gracie will be competing for the first time since scoring a third-round TKO win over James McSweeney in his promotional debut in December 2014. The former UFC and Strikeforce talent is 7-2 as a professional with wins over the likes of Keith Jardine, Anthony Smith, Kevin Randleman and Trevor Prangley.

Pasterak, meanwhile, owns an 11-0 mark, including a unanimous decision triumph over Rafael Silva at One FC 24 “Dynasty of Champions” in his most recent outing. The 32-year-old’s first 10 bouts were all on the Polish MMA circuit.
