Octagon newcomer Roldan Sangcha’an will face Richie Vaculik on short notice in a flyweight contest when the UFC travels to New Zealand on June 28.
Nicknamed “The Executioner,” Sangcha’an is unbeaten in four professional fights, finishing two of his opponents by submission and two via technical knockout. The Filipino flyweight last competed in September, when he earned a second-round submission over Ernesto Montilla at Pacific Xtreme Combat 39.
A member of “The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes” cast, Vaculik came up short in his promotional debut, falling to Justin Scoggins via first-round TKO at UFC Fight Night “Hunt vs. Bigfoot” in December. The 30-year-old Australian has been victorious in nine of his 11 professional appearances, with all of his triumphs coming inside the distance.
