Ronda Rousey Says She Wants Holly Holm Rematch at UFC 200
If there were any doubts about Ronda Rousey’s availability for a rematch with Holly Holm in July, the ex-bantamweight champ put them to rest on Friday.

That’s what I want,” she said. “But it’s up to the UFC and it’s up to her camp, so we’ll see what happens.”
While Holm’s camp has been
angling for a fight against Miesha Tate
in early 2016, UFC President Dana White recently told the
Los Angeles Times that the champion will indeed wait until the
summer to face Rousey.
UFC 200 is expected to take place on July 9 at the new Las Vegas arena, and Holm-Rousey 2 would likely draw even more interest than their initial meeting. At UFC 193, Holm knocked Rousey out with a head kick and follow-up punches 59 seconds into the second round of their title bout in Melbourne.
Rousey’s readiness for a summer rematch came into question following an in-depth interview with ESPN that was released earlier this week.
“It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact,” Rousey said.
However, “Rowdy” also expressed a desire to eventually come back and fight Holm again. Now it appears that she will be ready to compete at UFC 200.
“I need to come back. I need to beat this chick,” Rousey told ESPN. “Who knows if I’m going to pop my teeth out or break my jaw or rip my lip open again? I have to f---ing do it. It doesn’t matter. I have to do it.”
