Women will do battle in the Octagon for the first time on English soil when Rosi Sexton collides with Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 30.
The women’s bantamweight scrap joins a bill topped by a pivotal middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz. The Oct. 26 event airs live on Fox Sports 1 and takes place at Phones4U Arena in Manchester.
Sexton, 36, recently saw a three-fight winning streak snapped by Alexis Davis, who outpointed “The Surgeon” this in June at UFC 161. Prior to that setback, Sexton earned a trio of victories under the Cage Warriors banner, topping Roxanne Modafferi and Aisling Daly before inking her UFC deal.
Like her opponent, Andrade was defeated in her Octagon debut, falling to onetime UFC title challenger Liz Carmouche one month ago at UFC on Fox 8. The setback marked the third career defeat for the 21-year-old Brazilian, who has picked up all nine of her career wins via stoppage.
