Unbeaten Ross Houston will vie for the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship welterweight title against champion Stefano Paterno in the main event of CW 98 at the Genting Arena in Birmingham, England, on Oct. 20.
Houston (7-0) has fought twice this year and has already competed five times under the banner of the British promotion. The SBG Iverness representative is very skilled in the ground game: three of his seven wins are by submission.
Paterno (12-2-1), on the other hand, won the vacant 170-pound title after defeating Mehrdad Janzemini at CW95. The Italian has won seven of his last eight, with a draw sandwiched in between. In the last year, the 22 year-old has defeated UFC veterans John Maguire and Cody Mackenzie.
