Russia’s Hip Show: Arena Combat will debut on AXS TV on March 14 in a “best of” compilation show.
The organization, which features two-on-two fighting in a multi-tiered arena rather than a single-level ring or cage, will make its North American debut on the cable network at 10 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. PT. The two-hour broadcast will include the best fights from the organization’s lightweight and middleweight tournaments, as well as the championship finals.
The tournaments were held at 70 and 80 kilograms -- about 154 and 176 pounds, respectively -- and used a round robin format. Ring announcer Cyrus Fees will serve as the English language play-by-play commentator, while former professional fighter Casey Oxendine will provide color commentary.
Founded in 2012, Hip Show: Arena Combat has already produced a second season in Russia and has been greenlit for a third, according to the release.
