Ryan Bader will lock horns with Ilir Latifi when the UFC travels to Hamburg, Germany, on Sept. 3.
Multiple outlets reported the light heavyweight matchup, and Bader recently confirmed the bout in a message on Twitter. UFC Fight Night marks the promotion’s first trip to Hamburg; no other bouts have been announced for the event.
A perennial contender at 205 pounds, Bader saw a five-bout winning streak come to an end at UFC on Fox 18, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Anthony Johnson on Jan. 30. The Power MMA Team product owns notable victories against Rashad Evans, Phil Davis, Ovince St. Preux, Quinton Jackson and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira during his Octagon tenure.
After falling to Gegard Mousasi in his short-notice UFC debut, Latifi has won five of six within the Las Vegas-based organization. Most recently, “The Sledgehammer” took a three-round verdict over Gian Villante at UFC 196.
