UFC Fight Night 100 has a new headliner, as Ryan Bader will replace the injured Alexander Gustafsson and face Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on Nov. 19 (live odds) in Sao Paulo.
MMAFighting.com first reported the change on Friday. The nature of Gustafsson’s injury is unknown at this time. UFC Fight Night takes place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo and will also see former strawweight title challenger Claudia Gadelha face Cortney Casey in a featured bout.
Bader has won six of his last seven Octagon appearances, with his only defeat during that stretch coming against light heavyweight title contender Anthony Johnson. Most recently, the Power MMA Team product knocked out Ilir Latifi with a knee in the second round at UFC Fight Night “Arlovski vs. Barnett” in Hamburg, Germany, on Sept. 3.
Nogueira last competed at UFC 198, where he scored a first-round technical knockout of Patrick Cummins. “Minotouro” is 5-4 during his promotional tenure, with notable wins over Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz.
