Ryan Ford has pulled out of the World Series of Fighting 21 main event due to an undisclosed injury.

Ford announced his withdrawal via Instagram on Tuesday, and Sherdog.com subsequently confirmed his exit with a WSOF official. Ford was scheduled to face Yushin Okami in a welterweight bout at Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada on June 5.

It is currently unknown if Okami will receive a replacement opponent or if the matchup will be postponed until a later date. WSOF 21 features a pair of title bouts, as Lance Palmer defends the featherweight strap against Chris Horodecki, while Smealinho Rama meets Blagoi Ivanov for heavyweight gold. The evening’s main card airs on the NBC Sports Network.

Ford saw a six-fight winning streak end on Oct. 11 against Jake Shields at WSOF 14, when he tapped to a rear-naked choke 4:29 into round one of their headlining encounter.

Okami, meanwhile, is 1-1 in WSOF. Most recently, the Japanese standout lost to David Branch via fourth-round TKO in a middleweight title clash at WSOF 15 on Nov. 15.
