Sage Northcutt will get a new level of exposure in his next UFC appearance.
The 19-year-old lightweight will face Andrew Holbrook at UFC on Fox 18 as part of the event’s main card. The bout was announced during the UFC on Fox 17 broadcast on Saturday night. UFC on Fox 18 takes place at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., on Jan. 30 and is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Johnson and Ryan Bader.
Northcutt improved to 7-0 as a professional on Dec. 10, when he submitted Cody Pfister with a guillotine choke 41 seconds into the second round at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas. “Super” Sage has finished all of his foes inside the distance, including a 57-second knockout of Francisco Trevino in his Octagon debut.
Holbrook, meanwhile, is unbeaten in 11 outings, with nine triumphs via submission. He made his promotional debut at UFC on Fox 16 in July, when he captured a split verdict against Ramsey Nijem.
