Sanchez-Hathaway On Deck for UFC 114

Diego Sanchez said he’ll be facing John Hathaway in a welterweight bout at UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Sanchez's last bout was a lightweight title fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 107 in December. Penn earned a fifth-round stoppage over Sanchez via strikes. Sanchez went 2-1 in the promotion's lightweight division. He had been 8-2 at 170 pounds prior to the move.

Hathaway will put his 12-0 record on the line in the bout against Sanchez. The Brighton, England native is 3-0 in the UFC with wins over Tom Egan, Ricky Story and his latest win over Paul Taylor at UFC 105 last November.

UFC 114 is rumored to feature a main event pitting Rashad Evans vs. Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
