The former Cage Fury Fighting Championships titlist announced via Twitter on Saturday that he will be unable to face Wilson Reis at UFC 201 on July 30. “Shorty Rock” revealed that his removal occurred because he could not complete all the required medicals in time for the flyweight bout.

Reis was originally supposed challenge Demetrious Johnson for flyweight gold in the co-main event, but “Mighty Mouse” had to withdraw from the contest due to injury. It is unclear if Reis will remain on the card against a new opponent with the card just two weeks’ away. The UFC has yet to make an official announcement on the bout or Santella’s status.
UFC 201 takes place at Philips Arena in Atlanta and is headlined by a welterweight title bout between Robbie Lawler and Tyron Woodley.
