A heavyweight pairing has been added to UFC 182, coming in the form of Shawn Jordan versus Jared Cannonier.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the bout on Thursday. The pay-per-view takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 3 and features a light heavyweight title clash between Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. In the evening’s co-headliner, Ronda Rousey defends her women’s bantamweight strap against Cat Zingano.

Jordan comes into the bout fresh off his finish of Jack May at UFC Fight Night “Bader vs. St. Preux.” With the win, the former Louisiana State University fullback ended a two-fight losing streak.

Cannonier is presently riding a seven-fight unbeaten streak to open his professional career and most recently defeated former King of the Cage champion Tony Lopez. The Alaskan native has finished all of his fights before reaching the judges’ scorecards in his last bout.
