“The Ultimate Fighter” Season 11 finalist Kris McCray will lock horns with fellow Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Danillo Villefort in a preliminary welterweight clash at the World Series of Fighting 2 “Arlovski vs. Johnson” on Saturday at the Revel Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
Sherdog.com will stream the five-fight undercard at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
McCray has compiled a 3-1 mark since being released by the UFC following consecutive defeats to Court McGee, Carlos Eduardo Rocha and John Hathaway. The 31-year-old last appeared under the Cage Fury Fighting Championships banner in October, when he wound up on the wrong side of a split decision to Mike Wade in Richmond, Va. McCray has secured five of his eight professional victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
A Blackzilians representative, Villefort has posted nine wins in his last 11 outings. The 29-year-old Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt has finished 10 of his 13 career victories, five of them by submission and five more by KO or TKO. Villefort has not competed since losing a unanimous decision to Nate James at Strikeforce Challengers 18 in August 2011. Wins over Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts veteran Joey Villasenor and former International Fight League middleweight champion Matt Horwich anchor his resume.
The WSOF 2 prelims will also feature a welterweight tilt pitting Igor Gracie against Richard Patishnock, a lightweight duel matching Chris Wade with Ozzy Dugulubgov and a pair of featherweight bouts, as Waylon Lowe meets Cameron Dollar and Rick Glenn toes the line against Alexandre Pimentel.
