‘Shoeface’-Marshman, Colombo-Felipe Bouts Land in Sao Paulo for UFC Fight Night 119

On Monday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced a pair of bouts for UFC Fight Night 119: “Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3” winner Antonio Carlos Junior will take on Wales' Jack Marshman in a middleweight contest, while Denmark's Christian Colombo faces unbeaten Brazilian heavyweight “Boi” Carlos Felipe.

UFC Fight Night 119 takes place on Oct. 28, emanating from the Geraldo Jose de Almeida Gymnasium -- better known as the Ibirapuera Gymnasium -- in Sao Paulo. The main card, which airs live on Fox Sports 1, is headlined by a 185-pound clash between former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson.

Carlos, 27, is now 4-1 (1 NC) inside the Octagon as a middleweight. Following his 96-second TKO loss to Olympic judoka Daniel Kelly, he's ripped off three straight wins over Leonardo Guimaraes, Martin Vettori and most recently on the UFC 212 undercard in Rio de Janeiro this past June, Eric Spicely.

Wales' Marshman won a 15-minute decision over Canadian Ryan Janes last time out, upping his UFC mark to 2-1. In addition to a knockout loss against Thiago Santos this past February, he knocked out Magnus Cedenblad in his UFC debut last November.

Colombo is in search of his first UFC win. The 37-year-old “Godzilla” went to a majority draw in his UFC debut against Jarjis Danho in September 2016 and was then submitted by Luis Henrique da Silva just over two months later. Twice this year he was scheduled to face Poland's Damian Grabowski but both bouts fell apart due to injury.

The debuting Felipe, 22, has put together an 8-0 MMA record since turning pro in November 2014. Seven of those wins have come via knockout. He last saw action on May 20 in his native Bahia, Brazil, knocking out Sandro Bezerra.

This news story originally reported Antonio Carlos Junior would face Jack Hermansson. The report was updated at 2:46 p.m. ET to reflect that Carlos will face Jack Marshman instead.
